Abhinandan Pathak Lookalike, Narendra Modi, Biography, and More

Abhinandan Pathak

Abhinandan Pathak, a striking Narendra Modi lookalike, is renowned for his uncanny resemblance and skillful mimicry of the Indian Prime Minister. His dedication to portraying Modi extends beyond mere appearance; he even emulates his speech patterns, often earning him the nicknames “Junior Narendra Modi” or “Nandan Modi.”

Abhinandan Pathak was born in 1963 (age 56 as of 2019) in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His education began at Shishu Niketan School, Saharanpur, where he studied until the 5th grade. He then continued his education at S M Inter College, Saharanpur, before completing a Master of Arts degree at Jain Degree College, also in Saharanpur.

Family, Caste & Wife

Abhinandan Pathak hails from a Brahmin family. His father, Ram Surat, worked at a small central store within the Gandhi Ashram. His mother was a retired headmaster from a Junior High School. He is married to Meerben Abhinandan Pathak and they have three daughters and a son, Chiku Pathak.

Career

Mr. Pathak’s political career has seen him contest several elections. He unsuccessfully ran for the 1999 Lok Sabha Elections from Chaurasi, Saharanpur, and the 2012 Councillor Elections. He was associated with the Republican Party (Athawale) of India, a BJP-led NDA constituent. His rise to prominence came after actively campaigning for Narendra Modi in Varanasi, reportedly covering the entire city on foot over 90 days.

His striking resemblance to Modi, however, also made him a target of public frustration with Modi’s governance. He faced verbal abuse, with people frequently taunting him with slogans like “Acche Din Kab Aayenge?” (When will the good days come?) and references to the promised Rs. 15 lakh bank transfers. Concerned for his safety, he unsuccessfully sought protection from the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, and BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey. This ultimately led him to join the Congress party in 2019.

Despite joining Congress, he ran as an independent candidate in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections from Lucknow and Varanasi.

Controversy

Following his nomination for the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections in Lucknow, he launched a controversial campaign slogan, “Ek Vote, Ek Note” (One Vote, One Note). This led to a notice from the Election Commission of India for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
