She completed a three-year Visharad in Music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi, and received classical and light music training from Pandit Aaskaran Sharma. Career

Richa began her singing journey with devotional songs, performing in Faridabad and Delhi before moving to Mumbai in 1994. She gained experience performing at various events and weddings. Her Bollywood debut was in 1996 with the song “Mohabbat Aisi Mehndi Hai” from the film “Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya.”

She went on to lend her voice to numerous hit films, including “Taal” (1999), “Zubeidaa” (2001), “Saathiya” (2002), “Kal Ho Naa Ho” (2003), “Baabul” (2006), “Om Shanti Om” (2007), “Singham” (2011), and “Padmaavat” (2018). In 2006, she recorded Bollywood’s longest song, “Bidaai” from “Baabul,” a remarkable 15-minute performance without orchestral accompaniment.

In 2011, her family inaugurated a Saibaba Temple in Faridabad, where she released her debut devotional album, “Sai Ki Tasveer.”
