Her first marriage to director and choreographer Bobby Khan in 2002 was short-lived, ending in separation after a year. Sunidhi’s musical journey began at the tender age of four, performing at local events and competitions. A chance encounter with actress Tabassum led to a live performance on Tabassum’s show, “Tabassum Hit Parade,” and subsequently, a move to Mumbai.

Under Tabassum’s guidance, she trained with Kalyanji Virji Shah and Anandji Virji Shah, eventually becoming a lead singer in their “Little Wonders” troupe. Her Bollywood debut arrived with the song “Ladki Deewani Dekho” from the film “Shastra (1996),” followed by her first album, “Aira Gaira Nathu Khaira,” in the same year. After two years as a background vocalist, she achieved her breakthrough with “Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi” from “Mast (1999),” earning her two Filmfare nominations.

Her career blossomed with numerous hit songs, including “Mehboob Mere,” “Bumbro,” “Say Shava Shava,” and many more. She expanded her musical horizons by venturing into various languages – Marathi (“Kande Pohe”), Punjabi (“Muqabla”), Tamil (“Kundu Kundu”), Kannada (“Aeeeyy Aeeyyii”), and Telugu (“Mallika (D)”).
