Deepti Shreyas Talpade (née Desai) was born in 1981 in Thane, Mumbai. She completed her schooling at Sou A. K. Joshi English Medium School in Thane before earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mumbai.

Career

Deepti’s career in film production began with the Marathi film Sanai Choughade (2008). Since then, she has produced several successful Marathi and Hindi films, including Poshter Boyz (2014), Baji (2015), and Poster Boys (2017).

She also ventured into television, producing and appearing in the Star Pravah serial Tumcha Aamcha Same Asta (2015-2016). She is a director and co-founder of Affluence Movies Private Limited, a production company she established with Shreyas in 2007.

Deepti enjoys traveling. She first met Shreyas at a college event in 2000 where he was a guest. Their journey to parenthood included a memorable incident where they rushed back from a Hong Kong vacation due to their surrogate mother’s premature labor.

In 2019, Deepti and Shreyas had to publicly address an online fraud using her name and image to falsely advertise Amazon casting calls. Deepti is also a dog lover, sharing her home with two beloved pets, Don and Knight.
