Ankit’s career began at Radio Chaska in Gwalior as a production head. In 2008, he and his brother moved to Mumbai to pursue music. Initially, he composed jingles for TV commercials. His breakthrough came with “Do Dooni Chaar” (2010), where he worked as a music composer. While his debut singing role in “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster” (2011) didn’t gain much recognition, his later work changed everything.
His voice in “Sun Raha Hai” from “Aashiqui 2” (2013) propelled him to fame.
