Shriya’s artistic journey began early with Kathak and Rajasthani folk dance training under her mother. She participated in an open-air theatre group, “Jhankaar,” at BHEL. At 14, she received professional Kathak training under guru Shovana Narayan in Delhi, eventually joining Shovana’s dance troupe and performing across India.
Her film career launched after appearing in Renoo Nathan’s music video, “Thirakti Kyun Hawa.” Filmmakers from Ramoji Films noticed her and offered her a role in the Telugu film “Ishtam” (2001). Her breakthrough came with “Santosham” (2002) opposite Nagarjuna.
