Born on February 20, 1990, in Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu, India, Adhi’s journey to fame began with the viral success of his track “Club Le Mabbu Le.” Inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Jam,” he cultivated his passion for hip-hop, initially sharing his creations online under the “Hiphop Tamizha” YouTube account, cleverly using Subramania Bharati’s photo to conceal his activities from his family. His father’s initial disapproval eventually turned to support upon witnessing his son’s talent and success.

Adhi’s educational background includes schooling at Chavara Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore, an Electrical Engineering degree from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Madras. His YouTube single, “Club Le Mabbu Le,” garnered over 2 million views within a week of its release, catapulting him into the spotlight.
In 2005, he formed Hiphop Tamizha with R. Jeeva, whom he met on Orkut. Their first Tamil hip-hop mixtape, “Vishwaroobam Arambam,” was released in 2005, followed by their debut album, “Hiphop Tamizhan,” in 2012. They’ve also produced numerous music videos, including “Excuse Me Kathali,” “Ezhuvoam Vaa,” and “Takkaru Takkaru.”
Adhi collaborated with Remy Martin on an unreleased international album, “International Tamizhan,” featuring American artists Sol and Emcee Call. He also ventured into film directing with “Meesaya Murukku” in 2017, starring himself as Adhithya/Adhi.
