Career
While in college, Arvind worked as a model. Mani Ratnam, renowned filmmaker, discovered him through an advertisement and offered him a role. His acting debut was in Mani Ratnam’s Thalapathi (1991), alongside Rajinikanth and Mammootty.
He later starred in Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi films. His performances in Roja (1992) and Bombay (1995) garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards for the films themselves. He also provided the Tamil voice for Simba in Disney’s The Lion King (1995) and Scar in the 2019 remake.
Arvind took a break from acting in 2000 to focus on his business ventures. He founded Talent Maximus in 2005, a company involved in payroll processing and temporary staffing in India. He returned to acting with roles in Kadal (2013), Thani Oruvan (2015), and the MGR biopic Thalaivi (2019).
