Her mother, a sitar player, and her liberal-minded father, an engineer, supported her artistic pursuits while emphasizing the importance of education. Trained in various dance forms, including Kathak, jazz, ballet, modern, and contemporary, Auritra showcased her talent on international stages in Dubai, Muscat, and Belgium.

She pursued higher education in Information Systems from the TATA Institute of Data Sciences. In 2015, she founded “Pause and Effect,” a company dedicated to promoting performing arts and wellness events across India.

Auritra’s artistic journey began at the age of 16 with dance performances around the world. Her Bollywood debut came with the Hindi romantic film Love Breakups Zindagi (2011). Subsequently, she starred in Dharam Sankat Mein (2015) alongside seasoned actors like Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, and Naseeruddin Shah. The critically acclaimed movie M Cream (2016) marked her role in India’s first “stoner film.” Auritra also appeared in the superhit movie Good Newwz (2019) alongside popular actors Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.

Theatre:

Auritra’s theatrical prowess is equally impressive.
