Career
Before his acting career took off, Chiranjeevi gained valuable experience working as an assistant director under his uncle, Arjun Sarja, for approximately four years. His acting debut was in the 2009 romantic Kannada film Vayuputra, where he played the role of Balu. This role earned him the Innovative Film Award for Best Debut (Male). He went on to star in several other successful South Indian films, including Gandedhe (2010), Kempegowda (2011), Ajith (2014), Amma I Love You (2018), and Sinnga (2019).
Death
On June 7, 2020, Chiranjeevi experienced severe chest pain. Around 1:10 pm, while speaking to his father on the phone, he collapsed. He was immediately taken to Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar, where he was pronounced dead. His final rites were performed on June 8, 2020.
His passing prompted heartfelt tributes from prominent figures, including Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa, who described him as a “good actor,” and former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy, who mourned the loss of a “shining star.”
