His singing debut was with “Nirahua Phir Se Aail Ba Darbar E Mai,” followed by popular hits like “Budhwa Mein Dum Ba” and “Malai Khaye Budwa” in 2001. Dinesh Lal Yadav is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He joined in March 2019 in Lucknow, in the presence of Yogi Adityanath. He contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the Azamgarh constituency but lost. However, he won the Azamgarh Lok Sabha bypoll in June 2022, defeating Dharmendra Yadav of the Samajwadi Party. He subsequently contested again in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections but lost to Dharmendra Yadav.
