Career
Jamyang joined the BJP in 2012 during his college years. He quickly rose through the ranks. On January 1, 2013, he became the BJP’s spokesperson and state affairs in-charge for Ladakh.
In 2014, he successfully managed Thupstan Chhewang’s election campaign, subsequently becoming Chhewang’s Personal Secretary after his victory. His political career continued to ascend.
He won the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) elections in 2015, securing a significant victory in the Martselang Constituency. He was then appointed as the Additional Media Secretary of the BJP in Jammu & Kashmir on December 1, 2015.
In 2018, he became the Chairman of the LAHDC after the previous chairman resigned. This was followed by his appointment as the District President of the BJP in Leh. His rapid rise within the party reflects his organizational skills and political acumen.
In 2019, the BJP nominated him as their Lok Sabha candidate for Ladakh.
