He formed a choir group in college that won numerous competitions.
Facing initial setbacks in the music industry, he briefly ventured into handicrafts export, suffering significant losses and contemplating suicide. After a period in Singapore and Thailand, he returned to India in 2001 and, through connections, secured a jingle opportunity that marked a turning point in his career.
