Career
Kuldeep’s musical journey began with the tutelage of his mother. His first singing competition was in 7th standard. At just 16, he was selected by AIR Shimla, recording three songs and becoming one of their youngest singers. His first stage performance was at the Dharamshala Summer Festival in 1997. While his initial album wasn’t successful, his remixes of old folk songs proved to be a breakthrough. TM Music Company of Punjab recognized his talent, leading to seven hugely successful albums.
His debut original song, “Supne Di mili bolo Ameya tu meriye,” was released under the guidance of his mentor and maternal uncle, Liaq Ram Rafiq. He has also released several Bhajan albums. His repertoire includes over 80 audio and video albums, including notable releases like Himachali Geet Dhamaka (2005), Naati Fever (2016), and Chal Baliye (2016). He even contributed songs to the Hindi film Van Rakshak (2019) and was part of the Bollywood film Yaariyan (2020).
