Meghana Raj was engaged to the popular South Indian actor, Late Chiranjeevi Sarja, on October 22, 2017. Their wedding took place in two ceremonies: a Christian ceremony on April 20, 2018, at St. Anthony’s Church in Koramangala, Bangalore, and a Hindu ceremony on May 2, 2018. Sadly, Chiranjeevi passed away on June 7, 2020, due to cardiac arrest at Apollo Hospital, Jayanagar, Bengaluru. At the time of his passing, Meghana was pregnant with their child.

Meghana’s acting journey began in theatre with the play Jokumaraswamy. Her film debut as a female lead was in the Telugu film, Bendu Apparao R.M.P (2009), where she played Gayatri. In 2010, she expanded her filmography to include Kannada (Punda), Tamil (Kaadhal Solla Vandhen), and Malayalam (Yakshiyum Njanum) films. While her initial films didn’t achieve significant box-office success, she gained recognition with the superhit Malayalam film Beautiful (2011).
