Career

Following his 1996 induction into the Indian Police Service, Navniet Sekera underwent rigorous training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad. His initial posting was as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Gorakhpur, followed by a transfer to Meerut as ASP in December 1998.

He was promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP) in 2001, serving in various roles, including SP Railway Police in Moradabad and SP Technical Services. His SSP postings included Muzaffarnagar (September 2003 – November 2004), Varanasi (October 2005 – March 2006), and Meerut (March 2006 – March 2007).
