Rafiath Rashid Mithila entered the world on Sunday, May 25, 1980, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A Gemini, she’s also known by the nickname Mithila. Her educational journey began at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in Dhaka. She later pursued and completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from the University of Dhaka, in 2006 and 2008 respectively. Her academic pursuits continued with a post-graduation in “Contemporary Approaches to Curriculum and Instruction” from the College of Education and Human Development in Germany in 2010. She further enhanced her expertise by earning a master’s degree in Early Childhood Development from BRAC University in Dhaka in 2016, achieving the prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal.

Mithila’s career began in 2002 as a model, showcasing her talents in cultural and fashion shows for Neelanjana Palli. She transitioned into television commercials, becoming a brand ambassador for numerous products, including Hayes, Haier, Bajaj hair oil, Close-up, and Huawei Smartphones. Her widespread recognition soared on August 22, 2008, with her appearance in Habib Wahid’s music video, “O Amar Moyna Go”.
