Richa Anirudh entered the world on Saturday, May 31, 1975, in Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Her astrological sign is Gemini. Her family later relocated to Uttar Pradesh, initially residing in a small Primary Health Centre (P.H.C.) in Mundha Pande, Moradabad, before settling in Dhanaura within the same district in 1976.
Her early education commenced at Moradabad’s Seventh Day Adventist School. A family move to Jhansi when she was six led to her completing her Class 10 from St. Francis Convent School there. She continued her education at Christ The King College for her 11th and 12th grades, actively participating in extracurricular activities throughout her schooling. Richa pursued a Science degree from Bipin Behari Degree College, Jhansi, followed by a 3-year master’s diploma in computer software development from Jhansi’s APTECH Computer Institute. Career
Richa’s media journey started in 1996 as a freelance anchor for DD-National, hosting the program “Ankur.” A move to Ajmer in 1998 saw her join “Dainik Navjyoti,” a Hindi daily, as a trainee journalist. Returning to Delhi in 2001, she worked for Pt. Ravi Shankar before anchoring for DD Sports and ETV Urdu and becoming a Radio Jockey at AIR FM.
Her career as a news journalist and anchor blossomed in 2002 when she joined Zee News as a reporter. After three years, she transitioned to Channel 7 (later IBN7) as a special correspondent and news anchor. The successful talk show “Zindagi Live,” launched on IBN7 in 2007, ran until 2013, returning in 2017 on ETV as “Zindagi Live Returns” and later on YouTube as “Zindagi With Richa.”
Richa’s radio career included hosting the breakfast show “Dilli Meri Jaan” and “Big Heroes” on 92.7 BIG FM. She also serves as Editor-in-chief of “School Live,” a school magazine.
