Riya Shukla, also known as Ria Shukla, is a talented Indian actress working in both television and film. She’s known for her natural acting ability and charming presence.

Riya Shukla was born on Thursday, January 1, 2000 (age 23 as of 2023), in Indranagar, Lucknow. Her zodiac sign is Capricorn. She completed her schooling at M K S D Inter College in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Family

Riya’s father, Sushil Kumar Shukla, works at the Vidhan Bhawan in Lucknow. Her mother, Madhuri Shukla, is a homemaker. She has three siblings: two older and one younger.

Career

Riya’s journey began as a contestant on the children’s talent show, “Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz,” in 2012. She later showcased her dancing skills on “Dance India Dance.” She also appeared in small roles in Bollywood films such as “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” (2015) and “San 75 Pachattar” (2016).

Her breakthrough role came in the 2016 Bollywood film “Nil Battey Sannata,” where she played the character of “Appu,” Swara Bhaskar’s daughter. She was selected for this role after auditioning in Lucknow.

Following “Nil Battey Sannata,” Riya worked as an art director on the short film “Butterflies and Hurricanes” (2017). She continued to act in Bollywood films including “Hichki” (2018) and “3rd Eye” (2019).

Riya made her television debut in the Hindi serial “Naati Pinky Ki Lambi Love Story,” which aired on January 27, 2020. She played the lead role opposite Puneett Chouksey.

While I have done a couple of Bollywood projects, with this I make my television debut, and I am extremely excited. I hope my character resonates with our viewers.”
