He began training in Indian classical music at age 7, continuing until age 15.
He studied Sugama Sangeetha under Ustad Yugantar Sindoor for 8 years.
He also received tutelage from the renowned Ustad Nissar Hussain Khan (Padma Bhushan) of the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana.
