Career
Siddharth’s career journey is impressive. It began as a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble in Mumbai. He transitioned to Star TV’s strategic planning division, then participated in Newscorp’s Executive Development Program in Hong Kong. Returning to Mumbai, he worked on the marketing of “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” eventually becoming a Regional Marketing Manager. A promotion to Vice President at Star TV’s Hong Kong headquarters followed, making him the youngest VP at the time. He led the Central Marketing & Creative Services team there.
In 2005, he joined UTV as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, overseeing marketing campaigns for films like “Rang De Basanti” and “Khosla Ka Ghosla.” He became CEO of UTV Motion Pictures in January 2008, overseeing development, production, marketing, distribution, and syndication. His tenure produced numerous successful films. In 2014, he was promoted to Managing Director of Disney India. He later founded his own production house, Roy Kapur Films, in 2017, with “The Sky Is Pink” as its debut project.
