Somadas Haridasan was born in 1978 (age 42 at the time of his death) in Chathanoor, Kollam, Kerala. He completed his schooling at St. Joseph’s Convent GHSS, Kollam, and went on to graduate from SN College, Kollam.

Somadas hailed from a South Indian family. His father’s name was Haridasan. He married Surya in 2005. They had two daughters. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce after several years of marital difficulties.
Career
Somadas’s career took off after he participated in the singing reality show “Idea Star Singer” in 2008. While he didn’t win, the show significantly boosted his popularity. He received a major career boost thanks to the late actor Kalabhavan Mani, who helped him establish himself as a playback singer.
He collaborated with renowned music director Saram. Some of his notable songs include “Kuruvaal Kuruvi” (Annaarakkannanum Thannaalaayathu, 2010), “Dance Cheyyu Bayya” (Mr. Perfect, 2016), and “Ida Nenju” (Mannaamkattayum Kariyilayum, 2017). He also performed extensively in live shows and events.

Due to health complications including high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and high cholesterol, Somadas had to leave Bigg Boss Malayalam 2 prematurely. Sadly, he passed away on January 31, 2021, from a cardiac arrest.
